<p>The Healthy Homes Network is a community-based, nonprofit corporation whose
mission is to promote safe and healthy homes in Metropolitan Kansas City. Its
current membership is comprised of individuals from throughout Kansas and Missouri,
and includes educators, researchers, public health and environmental professionals,
health care providers, building and remodeling contractors, housing organization
and neighborhood leaders, environmental consultants, and concerned citizens.
We welcome new members and organizations to participate in planning and programming.

<p>It takes more than food to fight hunger. The Healthy Homes Network believes
it takes both short- and long-term solutions, such as food assistance, job training,
economic development programs and advocacy, to have a lasting impact.</p>

as possible. Many of these organizations coordinate the work of emergency assistance
organizations in the five-county Kansas City metropolitan area. Through this
cooperative effort, agencies work together to provide the most effective help
possible and to stretch limited available resources.</p>
