Brown Leghorns (pronounced "leggerns"), are very hardy and active and are generally recognized as the most colorful of the Leghorn family. They lay white eggs, are nonsetters, have large combs, white earlobes, yellow skin, shanks and feet. The female is medium brown with delicate penciling; wings are darker brown and breast is salmon colored. Their origin is near the city of Leghorn, Italy. The lively little chicks are striped like chipmunks.For 25 day-old baby chicks, prices are approximately $41.25 for a straight run;* $49.50 for females; and $19.75 for males
