Libraries are centers of cultural heritage and experience. Programs that enrich the educational experience of students as well as that of the local community emphasize aspects of our world and introduce people to performing arts. Art is displayed in the building on the walls, in the halls and in exhibit spaces. Our new performance space will expand our capabilities. The decorative screens on the new addition is an artistic use of a 1926 map of Kansas City. We have entitled it Rivers, Rails and Trails. |
