STEP ONE:
Group Member 2: Collect one plastic “salad” container and one small bag of soil. 

Group Member 3: Collect one cup of water and one seedling.

Group Member 1: Prepare your group station with newspaper.  Create a label with your group's name on it.  

STEP TWO:
Group Member 2: Pour the soil into the bottom of the plastic container.

Group Member 3: Create a hole in the soil by poking your finger into the soil and place the seedling in the soil.

Group Member 1: Pat the soil down gently and pour the water into the container.  Be certain it is watered thoroughly.


STEP THREE:
Group Member 2: Place the lid on the container and carefully tape it shut.

Group Member 1: Place the label on the container.  Take the water cycle terrarium you created to the window area.

Group Members 2 & 3:  Clean up your area.

How will the plant survive in the terrarium without our help?

Use the words precipitation, transpiration, condensation, and evaporation to describe the Water Cycle within your terrarium.
