Analysis of Variance or ANOVA is what you need when you are comparing the differences between groups AND there are more than two groups.

Types of ANOVA

Simple or 1-way ANOVA

Use when you have one factor or grouping variable you use to compare differences: for example: testing Gender differences on a interval or ratio variable like Age.

1-Way ANOVA here

Factorial or Multi-way ANOVA

in this case we have more than one grouping variable, example: Using Gender AND race, to understand differences in an interval or higher order variables, such as the number of Years of Social Work Practice.

Beaucoup ANOVA

I just made that up, there is not such thing as 'beaucoup ANOVA'.

But, there are tons of ways to have ANOVA fun. Check out the the wikipedia page on ANOVA, it is not to shabby
